Hey fellow Gruen aficionados,

Hope everyone is doing well during these testing times. I recently got my hands on a Gruen Doctor's Watch - 1928-1930 Techni Quadron w/ 877S movement, Yellow Gold. The Techni Quadron series has been the foundation of my passion for vintage watches and in my opinion, the one I purchased is a great example of it(please do let me know your thoughts on it). As you can tell though, the crown and the seconds hands are not original to the watch so I am looking to track down an original Gold crown and Blue seconds hand if possible from one of you if I am lucky.

Please also let me know if you have any of these mentioned parts and/or Gruen Techni Quadrons especially the Alpina Gruen version if you're thinking of letting go. I would love to chat further to add to my collection!

I have an Alpina Gruen version that has been owned by one (maybe two...afire did you have this before Cary?) members of this forum previously but it is not for sale. Attached is a picture for reference. It is in a coin grade (90%) silver case that also has the Alpina hallmarks. Good luck in your search!

If it has this inscription on the back, then indeed it is one of my former watches. I found it on the website of a Finnish antiques shop, and nabbed it for $1200.

Yup, that's the one. I know that you're a master of searching the web for Gruen treasures, but finding a watch like this on the website of a Finnish antiques shop really takes the cake!
