Wow, thanks for the quick reply! This is really helpful. Two more questions for you:

1. Is it worthwhile to bring this to a watchmaker to get it cleaned up? It still functions well, but is obviously pretty beat up.
2. Any idea of the value? I wouldn't want to sell it, but I am curious about what it might be worth.
