I got this from eBay the other week:
/vgforum/index.php?t=getfile&id=5965&private=0
/vgforum/index.php?t=getfile&id=5966&private=0

The strap is also shown in the ad here: http://vintagegruen.org/vgforum/index.php?t=msg&th=343&a mp;a mp;goto=1426&#msg_1426

I'd love to see an original one. I snagged an original WWI strap with the J.F. Sturdy buckle. The site also shows the Gruen "Liberty strap": LINK. I've been able to make reproductions of both. the Gruen one, is far simplier than the others. Seems to be just a simple buckle:

/vgforum/index.php?t=getfile&id=5968&private=0

Anyone have an original?

That is a nice find. Shame there is no content.

The buckle looks like one part of the ladies ribbon clasp, without the “horns”.. (Sliding clip)

Browsing through old newspapers I found this. I don't believe Gruen named this watch and they were referring to the strap. They have an option for a Kitchener strap. Along with the Liberty strap option.

August 1918. That’s pretty cool date. Solidly within WWI for the US. Do totally agree that the ad is referring to the strap.
